Role Overview / Mission
This role is for a contractor focused on release and project management for an Integrated Eligibility system currently in its Maintenance & Operations phase. The primary objective is to ensure effective, timely, and quality software releases by coordinating across a cross-functional team, managing risks, and overseeing deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure requirements are clear across dependent project streams for effective releases.
* Manage risks and resolve challenges that impact release scope, quality, and schedules.
* Manage relationships across teams working on interrelated processes.
* Manage the development of deliverables into production environments.
* Measure and monitor progress to achieve timely software releases within defined budgetary limits and quality standards.
* Communicate crucial release plans and changes.
* Communicate necessary release details to business teams.
* Oversee deployment management of deliverables to the test environment.
* Produce deployment, implementation, and run book plans.
* Initiate and oversee the development of technical guides and training for external functionality, where applicable.
* Conduct release readiness and milestone reviews.
* Validate release notes and coordinate checklist and deployment plan execution.
* Ensure that releases operate as per expectations.
Required Qualifications / Skills
* 5+ years of IT Project Management experience.
* 3+ years experience in Release Management across multiple teams.
* 2+ years of experience in project management for a State Medicaid Agency or a large healthcare management organization.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
* 3+ years of client facing experience.
* 2+ years experience with an Integrated Eligibility project.
* 2+ years experience with a project in the Maintenance & Operations (M&O) phase of the project lifecycle.
* 3+ years of hands-on experience with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
* Knowledge of H.R.1 (Big Beautiful Bill).
* Experience facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions.
* Experience with ServiceNow.
* Proficiency with MS Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
* Proficiency with MS Project.
* Proficiency with MS Visio.
Location & Work Setup
This is a 100% telecommute contract role, with potential for conversion to hire. Working hours are from 8am ET to 5pm ET, including a lunch break.
