Role Overview / Mission

This role for a Sales Engineer or Senior Sales Engineer involves collaborating with prospects and clients to develop enterprise-wide cloud data security and data risk management solutions. It is a consultative position requiring strong analytical and business process skills to create effective solutions using Cyera’s technology.

Key Responsibilities

* Drive revenue through complex sales opportunities by maximizing Cyera’s capabilities and value.
* Identify client business challenges and desired results, then design solutions using Cyera’s products and services.
* Conduct and manage proof of values and use case demonstrations on customer sites, consulting with executive stakeholders and facilitating sales through technical demonstrations.
* Coordinate internal resources through cross-functional communication to support sales and build a sustainable business model.
* Serve as the technical point of contact for Cyera’s partner channel and represent the company at marketing events.

Required Qualifications / Skills

* Prior experience in cloud, Threat Detection & Response (TDR), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), or data security within a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar technical sales role.
* Strong knowledge of roles, permissions, and APIs in at least one major cloud provider environment (AWS and/or Azure experience is preferred).
* Fundamental experience with networking and databases.
* Solid understanding of various data storage types and basic understanding of encryption techniques, key management, cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM), and network design/engineering/protocols.
* Fundamental understanding of Machine Learning (ML)/Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Regulatory Frameworks, and Privacy and Data Retention programs.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) for opportunity tracking.
* A results-oriented mindset and a desire to succeed in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking to address customer challenges.
* Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory.

Location & Work Setup

This role offers the ability to work remotely, with reimbursement for office setup.
