Role Overview / Mission
This role supports our People strategy by managing key operational aspects of the employee experience. The People Operations Generalist will oversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, recruitment, retention, HR systems, and culture initiatives. You will report to the VP of Operations and work closely with department heads in Sales, Marketing, Product, Creative, and Production. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can solve problems involving both people and technology, and has a strong focus on detail and data.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions and issue escalation.
* Manage new hire onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions.
* Conduct regular check-ins and pulse surveys to support employee engagement and retention.
* Support ongoing culture initiatives and company-wide events.
* Assist in compensation benchmarking, performance review calibration, and total rewards planning in partnership with Finance.
* Manage the semi-annual performance review process.
* Support compensation review cycles and collaborate with Finance on bonus and variable pay modeling.
* Coordinate benefits administration, visa renewals, and compliance documentation.
* Manage the relationship with the Professional Employer Organization (PEO).
* Partner on investigations, complaints, and employee relations matters.
* Maintain data integrity within the HRIS and manage core people systems (e.g., Greenhouse, Slack, Google Workspace, Monday.com, Jira).
* Track key metrics such as headcount, retention, engagement, and performance trends.
* Support inclusive practices across hiring, reviews, and engagement programs.
* Support HR compliance for US and international teams, coordinating with external partners.
* Build dashboards and insights to support leadership in data-driven decisions.
* Partner with the VP of Operations and hiring managers to post roles, manage candidates, and coordinate interviews.
* Oversee end-to-end requisition management, from job description creation to offer preparation.
* Support planning and execution of company-wide events, off-sites, and celebrations.
* Coordinate event budgets and expenses with Finance.
* Develop ideas to strengthen connections across remote teams.
* Manage user accounts, access permissions, and integrations across key tools.
* Manage contracts and onboarding/offboarding for internal contractors, including equipment and returns.
* Troubleshoot system issues or coordinate with vendors to ensure smooth system performance.
* Assist in system cost-benefit analysis and business cases.
Required Qualifications / Skills
* 3–5 years of experience in People Operations, HR Generalist, or similar roles that combine HR, office management, or systems administration.
* Ability to connect with individuals in a remote environment.
* Strong understanding of HR processes, compliance, and best practices.
* Experience managing applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse).
* Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, and project management tools.
* Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
* Organized, reliable, and committed to excellent execution.
* Willingness to handle various tasks and support where needed.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
* Experience managing HiBob HRIS.
Location & Work Setup
This is a remote position with flexible schedules.
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $60,000 – $80,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications, including skills, relevant experience, potential impact, scope of the role, and market demands.
