Role Overview / Mission

This role exists to lead Alpha USA’s national development marketing strategy. The primary mission is to engage, cultivate, and serve current and prospective donors across the U.S. by effectively sharing Alpha’s story and inviting them into its mission. This involves designing digital campaigns to drive donor awareness, engagement, and partnership, aligning with the organization’s long-term and short-term priorities and ensuring donor retention growth.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead Alpha USA’s national development marketing strategy, ensuring brand, voice, and messaging alignment with organizational goals.
* Provide strategic and tactical leadership within the development team, overseeing freelancers and agencies.
* Design and optimize digital donor journeys, setting clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and conducting regular testing.
* Recommend and manage the development marketing technology stack, including Content Management Systems (CMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), email platforms, and analytics tools.
* Identify and leverage impactful stories for the donor audience across video, print, web, email, and social media.
* Shape Alpha’s national donor-facing voice.
* Develop and implement national strategies to expand Alpha’s reach among donors.
* Define the brand tone and visual identity for development marketing and related media.
* Cultivate a learning culture within the team, oversee contractors and agencies, and foster succession planning and collaboration.
* Manage the development marketing budget.
* Oversee relationships with freelance professionals and vendors.

Required Qualifications / Skills

* 10 or more years of experience in development marketing or communications, with a proven track record in digital campaigns and messaging strategy.
* Ability to translate organizational vision into clear narratives and campaigns.
* Experience guiding small teams and managing vendor relationships.
* Proficiency with various digital platforms, including social media, email marketing systems, CMS/CRM tools, and analytics.
* Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.

* Understanding of Alpha’s core values, including prayer, invitation, and hospitality.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on building new initiatives.
* Background in nonprofit, ministry, or purpose-driven organizations.
* Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on content creation.
* Passion for evangelism and storytelling.

Location & Work Setup

This is a full-time, remote position, requiring approximately 40 hours per week.
