Role Overview / Mission

The Head of B2B Marketing will own Deako’s go-to-market strategy for builder, integrator, and channel audiences, from increasing awareness to driving conversions. This includes leading demand generation, digital marketing, content creation, and sales enablement, along with supporting offline brand experiences in model homes, trade events, and showrooms. This is a hands-on leadership role for a strategic thinker who also executes campaigns and builds programs to drive measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute B2B marketing strategies to generate qualified leads and pipeline growth.
  • Manage and optimize outbound lead generation programs, including cold email campaigns, nurture sequences, and marketing qualified lead processes.
  • Run digital advertising programs (e.g., LinkedIn, Meta, Google Ads) and advertising campaigns focused on awareness and conversion.
  • Utilize HubSpot for audience segmentation, campaign automation, performance analysis, and optimization.
  • Oversee content strategy and creation across emails, web, collateral, videos, and sales decks.
  • Collaborate with product and sales teams to translate technical features into compelling, benefit-driven messaging.
  • Build thought leadership and industry positioning within the builder and smart home ecosystem through whitepapers and case studies.
  • Develop sales collateral, presentations, case studies, and competitive positioning materials.
  • Create and maintain training materials and resources for trade partners.
  • Align marketing programs with business goals and target accounts in collaboration with sales leadership.
  • Assist with strategy and execution for trade events, industry shows, and local builder events, including nurturing generated leads.
  • Oversee the design, budget, and production of product displays, and define model home experiences to raise awareness and elevate the brand.
  • Partner with sales and operations to ensure consistent brand representation across all offline touchpoints.
  • Establish clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for marketing programs and track Return on Investment (ROI) across digital and offline channels.
  • Continuously analyze campaign performance and market trends to inform strategy.
  • Manage the marketing budget, vendors, and agency relationships efficiently.

Required Qualifications / Skills

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, with a proven track record in demand generation and pipeline growth.
  • Expertise in HubSpot for marketing automation, CRM, and analytics.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tactics including email, paid media, SEO, content, and lead scoring.
  • Experience in offline and experiential marketing, including event management and displays.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and lead cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Experience or knowledge of the home building, IoT, smart home, or connected home industries.

Location & Work Setup

This is a full-time, remote position based in the United States.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual Salary: $160,000 – $180,000
