Role Overview / Mission

This role supports Financial Advisors by coordinating and leading marketing initiatives and community outreach efforts. The primary purpose is to promote and brand the practice, and to utilize resources to create, present, and maintain presentations and proposals for clients and prospects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute client-focused marketing strategies and expand referral sources, including targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Support the design and management of social media and internal marketing platforms for the practice.
  • Research marketing and prospecting opportunities, including business associations, community organizations, speaking engagements, seminars, and article submissions.
  • Act as a liaison for all projects with the Marketing and Compliance Departments to develop marketing concepts that align with business strategy and brand positioning.
  • Design, customize, and distribute marketing materials, ongoing client communication, event invitations, marketing/communication campaigns, pitchbooks, and newsletters.
  • Coordinate and execute client and prospecting events, seminars, and large-scale community events for the practice. This includes planning, scheduling, speaker selection through vendor relationships, room setup, menu, audio/visual requirements, giveaways, and marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain prospective client information in the client relationship management system, gathered from events, referrals, and internal marketing platforms.
  • Coordinate efforts to gather data and assist Financial Advisors in preparing responses to requests for client proposals.
  • Assist Financial Advisors with on-site presentations to clients and prospects.
  • Contact prospective and existing clients with introductory letters offering services or inviting them to presentations.
  • If Series 7 licensed, assist with the preparation of presentations and portfolio analyses for High Net Worth and institutional clients, and potentially with client prospecting.

Required Qualifications / Skills

  • High School diploma.
  • Minimum of 4 to 6 months of general work experience.
  • SIE certification is required, provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied.
  • Knowledge of the company’s working structure, policies, mission, strategies, and compliance guidelines.
  • Knowledge of advanced investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in the securities industry.
  • Familiarity with client relations management tools.
  • Knowledge of financial services news and data resources.
  • Understanding of principles and practices of marketing and client relations management.
  • General website design and management capabilities for various social media platforms.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and use required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communications, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Ability to gather, compile, and update information, and maintain a client relations management tool.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver clear, effective, and professional presentations.
  • Ability to identify customer needs through effective questioning and listening techniques.
  • Ability to organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Commitment to continuously learn investment products.
  • Ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to keep all appropriate parties up-to-date on decisions, changes, and other relevant information.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Associate’s degree and a minimum of two years of marketing experience in a financial services environment or related work experience, or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
  • FINRA Series 7 license.

Location & Work Setup

This is a remote position. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $45,000.00 – $43,750.00.
