Role Overview / Mission

This role supports the company’s growth and visibility through email marketing, digital design, and competitor research. The Marketing & Digital Communications Assistant combines creative design skills, marketing coordination, and digital research to produce professional marketing materials, manage campaigns, and strengthen our brand presence in the construction industry. You will help ensure that all client-facing messages, brochures, and campaigns align with the company’s image and business development strategy.

Key Responsibilities

* **Email Marketing & Campaigns**
* Plan, design, and send email marketing campaigns using platforms like HubSpot or Mailchimp.
* Write and edit campaign content, including subject lines, service descriptions, and calls to action (CTAs).
* Segment mailing lists for different audiences (clients, prospects, industry sectors).
* Track open rates, click-throughs, and conversion metrics, reporting weekly performance.
* Maintain consistent branding, tone, and layout in all outgoing emails.
* **Design & Marketing Materials**
* Design and update brochures, flyers, service pricing sheets, company profile, and business cards.
* Use tools like Canva, PowerPoint, or Adobe to create professional visuals.
* Ensure alignment with company brand identity (colors, fonts, tone).
* Support proposal formatting and presentation layouts for clients.
* Update and maintain internal templates for sales and marketing teams.
* **Competitive & Market Research**
* Research competitor websites and marketing materials for service offerings, pricing, and positioning.
* Summarize findings and identify improvement opportunities for our materials and messaging.
* Track competitor SEO performance and keyword usage.
* Provide monthly insight reports for business development strategy.
* **SEO / SEM & Digital Support**
* Perform basic keyword research using tools like Google Keyword Planner or SEMrush.
* Suggest new content topics or keywords to improve online visibility.
* Assist with Google My Business optimization and online presence.
* Monitor search trends and recommend updates to web or campaign content.
* **Reporting & Coordination**
* Maintain a marketing calendar of campaigns, email schedules, and content updates.
* Work closely with the Sales Operations and Lead Research teams to align messaging and timing.
* Prepare weekly summaries of campaign results and competitor updates.
* Support leadership in coordinating marketing efforts during bid cycles or major launches.

Required Qualifications / Skills

* **Experience:** 1–3 years in marketing, email campaigns, or digital research.
* Proven experience using HubSpot Marketing, Mailchimp, or equivalent platforms.
* **Marketing Tools:** Proficiency with HubSpot Marketing Hub or Mailchimp (for email automation, tracking, and segmentation), Canva, PowerPoint, or Adobe Express for visual design, and Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
* **Digital Research & SEO:** Basic proficiency with tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, or Ahrefs. Understanding of search intent, keyword competition, and meta optimization. Ability to analyze and summarize website and SEO data.
* **Design & Copywriting:** Professional writing skills for marketing and client communication. Ability to translate ideas into clean, visually appealing deliverables. Strong attention to grammar, formatting, and consistency.
* **Work Style:** Organized, proactive, comfortable working independently. Strong sense of visual branding and attention to detail. Flexible and dependable, with the ability to work weekends during high-volume campaign periods or urgent deadlines. Curious about competitors and eager to learn new tools.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

* **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Equivalent experience in marketing, email campaigns, or digital coordination is accepted.
* **Experience:** Familiarity with construction industry marketing.

Location & Work Setup

This is a remote position within U.S. business hours. We are hiring for Full-time, Part-time, and Contract roles.

Compensation & Benefits

The compensation is $500 per week, paid weekly or bi-weekly. The schedule is 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, Monday–Friday, with expected hours not exceeding 30 per week. Weekend work may be required during campaign launches or urgent deadlines.
