Role Overview / Mission

This Marketing Manager role exists to lead creative and data-driven marketing initiatives that generate awareness, engagement, and pipeline for our products. The position involves both strategic planning and hands-on execution, from developing campaigns and driving demand generation, to collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Communications, and Alliances teams. You will take ownership of high-impact programs including integrated campaigns, product launches, events, and account-based marketing, connecting products with enterprise customers, developers, or strategic partners. This role suits someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys experimenting and optimizing based on data, and is passionate about technology and marketing. It requires curiosity, ownership, and a desire to improve campaigns, team processes, and personal growth, with a focus on building scalable marketing engines with creative flair.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end go-to-market planning and campaign execution across portfolios, territory, or vertical markets.
  • Develop and lead marketing programs that engage with prospects to drive opportunities and revenue.
  • Collaborate closely with other marketing teams to improve content performance and conversion through data-driven insights.
  • Partner with events, content, paid media, and social media teams to execute integrated campaigns across various channels.

Required Qualifications / Skills

  • Experience in a marketing role within the technology sector.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to evaluate performance and optimize for impact.
  • Comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on execution; a self-starter.
  • Strong storytelling skills, capable of crafting messaging that resonates with both technical and business audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptable, fast learner with a growth mindset and a passion for innovation.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in SaaS or enterprise IT.

Location & Work Setup

This is a remote position within the EMEA region. Canonical operates as a fully remote company since 2004. Team members have the opportunity to travel to new locations to meet colleagues at company sprints. Priority Pass for travel and travel upgrades for long-haul company events are provided.

Base pay depends on various factors including geographical location, level of experience, knowledge, and skills. The compensation philosophy ensures equity across the global workforce.
