Steps AI is a North America-based startup providing Agentic AI chatbot solutions to small and medium businesses (SMBs). Our platform helps businesses boost revenue, enhance customer experience, and automate 24/7 support by connecting with over 250 tools like Shopify, Zendesk, and HubSpot, allowing growth without needing a dedicated tech team. We are building an India-based outbound sales team focused on driving growth in the U.S. and Canada, seeking individuals who are driven, curious, creative, and take ownership of their work.

Role Overview / Mission

This role exists to establish and expand Steps AI’s market presence in North America by identifying, engaging, and securing new business opportunities within the small and medium business segment, operating from an India-based team.

Key Responsibilities

* Prospect and engage North American small and medium businesses through calls, emails, and LinkedIn.
* Develop a comprehensive understanding of Steps AI to articulate its value and capabilities clearly.
* Manage the entire sales pipeline from initial outreach to scheduling qualified meetings.
* Achieve a target of booking 20 or more qualified meetings per month.
* Collaborate directly with company founders on sales messaging and strategic initiatives.
* Utilize sales tools including Apollo, Instantly, and HubSpot.

Required Qualifications / Skills

* 1-3 years of experience as an outbound Sales Development Representative (SDR) or Business Development Representative (BDR).
* Proficiency in writing effective sales emails and handling rejections confidently.
* Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of results and perform effectively with autonomy.
* Comfortable working U.S. hours (6 PM – 3 AM Indian Standard Time).

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

* Experience in the U.S. or global market.
* An aspiration to advance into an Account Executive (AE) role within 6-12 months.

Location & Work Setup

This is a full-time position for an India-based team, with working hours aligned to U.S. time zones (6 PM – 3 AM IST).
