Role Overview / Mission
The Performance Marketing, Sr. Manager leads the strategic and operational aspects of Zinnia’s paid acquisition program. This role is responsible for managing an annual spend exceeding $20 million across various channels, including Paid Social, SEM, Programmatic, and Influencer marketing. The mission is to drive growth through data-driven paid acquisition, focusing on customer acquisition cost (CAC) and customer lifetime value (LTV), while fostering cross-functional collaboration and utilizing experimentation to inform decisions. This position involves close work with agencies and internal teams, owning financial forecasting and P&L for the program, and spearheading creative testing to ensure full-funnel impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the strategy and execution for Paid Social, Influencer, Programmatic, and new marketing channels.
- Manage relationships with performance agencies, ensuring accountability for key performance metrics.
- Forecast, pace, and optimize performance to achieve goals related to customer acquisition cost (CAC), return on ad spend (ROAS), and lead quality.
- Brief and traffic creative assets, coordinating legal approvals with support from internal tools.
- Lead initiatives for creative testing to continuously improve campaign performance.
- Collaborate with Content, SEO, and Product Marketing teams on integrated campaign development.
- Launch new marketing channels and discontinue underperforming ones.
- Translate data into actionable insights and make timely decisions.
- Work with the Legal department on best practices for consent, disclosures, and ad copy.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to deliver the desired lead mix.
Required Qualifications / Skills
- 46+ years of experience in paid media or growth marketing.
- Experience managing budgets over $5 million and working with agency partners.
- A strong performance-oriented mindset, encompassing data analysis, creative strategy, testing, and forecasting.
- Ability to think creatively and a proactive approach to task completion.
- Financial literacy, including the ability to manage a P&L, build forecasts, and identify anomalies early.
- A proactive and challenging mindset focused on continuous improvement.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience within legal-regulated industries such as insurance, finance, or health.
