Role Overview / Mission
This role exists to translate marketing strategies into effective digital campaigns for our Discovery and Safety Assessment (DSA) product lines, including toxicology, DART, pathology, bioanalysis, biomarkers, and DMPK. You will drive pipeline growth, build awareness, generate and nurture leads, and support customer retention. As part of the Strategic Marketing team, you will contribute to Charles River’s overall digital marketing strategy and lead it specifically for the DSA business.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a global digital marketing strategy for the Discovery and Safety Assessment (DSA) division.
* Drive digital marketing initiatives to meet global revenue and return on investment (ROI) goals for DSA.
* Manage and measure cross-channel digital communication strategies to build awareness, generate and nurture leads, and promote integrated offerings.
* Develop, implement, and manage short-term and long-term digital campaigns supporting business unit marketing plans.
* Plan and track campaign budgets, measure effectiveness against business objectives, and provide future recommendations.
* Increase customer acquisition and retention through targeted campaigns, fostering long-term relationships and enhancing customer lifetime value.
* Optimize digital marketing spend for maximum ROI using data-driven approaches.
* Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for digital campaigns, monitor performance, and adjust strategies to maximize impact.
* Report on campaign impact and funnel metrics, manage dashboard inputs, and present findings to the strategic marketing team.
* Improve user experience across all digital touchpoints, including website, social media, and email.
* Conduct iterative testing of digital initiatives to identify effective strategies and implement data-driven improvements.
* Analyze the end-to-end customer experience across various channels and touchpoints.
* Manage and improve digital marketing campaign workflows and intake processes with internal teams and external vendors.
* Educate and guide non-digital stakeholders on new data sources, digital marketing capabilities, and technologies for their go-to-market strategies.
* Plan, execute, manage, and promote the use of digital technologies across channels such as SEO, SEM, display, retargeting, social media, and marketing automation.
* Ensure consistent brand messaging across all digital channels.
Required Qualifications / Skills
* Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, or documented equivalent experience.
* 10+ years’ experience building and driving multi-channel B2B digital marketing strategy.
* Knowledge of the pharma, biopharma, and biotech markets for drug development products and services.
* Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; experience collaborating with diverse internal stakeholders and interacting with business and technology partners across all organizational levels.
* Ability to develop and implement digital strategies that engage current and prospective customers to drive successful business outcomes through multiple digital touchpoints and channels.
* Ability to collaborate and influence within a complex and dynamic global digital marketing organization.
* Skill in reviewing and communicating digital marketing metrics, providing strategic insights and recommendations in collaboration with analytics teams.
* Ability to educate and influence non-digital partners on new data sources, digital marketing capabilities, and technologies, and how to best use them in go-to-market strategies.
* Ability to stay current with emerging digital marketing capabilities and ensure their adoption across the organization.
* Ability to control budgets and familiarity with digital marketing financial planning and strategy.
* Direct channel experience within paid and organic social, marketing automation, display advertising, retargeting, pay-per-click advertising, paid and organic search, and third-party database advertising.
* Experience creating and building consensus for go-to-market plans using digital channels.
* Strong data analysis and critical thinking skills, including the ability to visualize metrics to communicate key insights.
* Strong understanding of how online customer journeys interact with the sales process and how leads and opportunities are tracked through a sales pipeline.
* Strong project management and organizational abilities.
* Ability to prioritize workload effectively and resolve problems with strong attention to detail.
* Effective and efficient communication skills for cross-functional teamwork and collaboration with partners and agencies.
* Proficient to expert skills in Google Analytics, PowerBI, pivot tables, Pardot, Salesforce, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google AdManager, Google TagManager, Conductor, Office365, or comparable tools.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
* Experience leveraging AI tools for digital content creation and optimization across channels.
Location & Work Setup
This is a fully remote position.
Compensation & Benefits
* **Annual Salary Range**: $100,000 – $125,000 USD. Compensation varies based on factors including experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
