Role Overview / Mission
This role exists to lead key client relationships and contribute to the growth of the agency, managing a department of three. The Vice President of Client Services will serve as the primary contact for clients, balancing business needs with client demands, and driving the success of client accounts through a deep understanding of digital marketing channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Oversee and inform overall client strategy across various digital channels and client business units.
- Identify opportunities for account growth through cross-selling and up-selling, engaging in negotiation and client activities.
- Manage the financial health and profitability of client accounts, including approving invoices, developing budgets, and creating scoping documents.
- Clearly communicate strategic fundamentals to both internal teams and clients.
- Collaborate with internal cross-channel delivery teams to ensure the daily execution of client strategy and tactics.
- Partner with SEO, content, creative, and social teams to ensure best practices are applied to client work.
- Contribute to agency promotion by aiding in the creation of blog posts, points-of-view, and white papers.
- Proactively anticipate client seasonality and forecast changes in client relationships based on priority meetings and business reviews.
- Actively work to advance the success of clients.
Required Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in digital account management.
- Ability to present and connect with audiences of varying seniority and expertise.
- Knowledge of digital strategy, client execution, industry best practices, and analytics.
- Exceptional communication and public, client-facing presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Proactive and adaptable work style, comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and support internal project management for conflicting priorities.
- Proven experience in accurately tracking billable hours and forecasting client workload shifts for internal teams.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- 4 years of experience within a digital marketing agency.
- 4 years of experience in client management.
- 3 years of experience partnering with SEO, content, creative, and social teams.
Location & Work Setup
This is a full-time remote position.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual Salary Range: $120,000 – $125,000, plus commission.
