Lead Product Designer
About the position
Thoughtworks integrates experience design with agile software delivery. Designers work in multi-disciplinary teams to understand complex problems and deliver high-quality working software. This role leads the design and development of digital products from ideation and concept through iterative development, collaborating with product and business strategists, technical specialists, and client partners.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of digital products from ideation and concept through to iterative development, working in parallel with product and business strategists, technical specialists, and client partners. Ensure quality across product touchpoints through consistent and attractive visual design guidelines, accessible design system components, and adherence to UX and interaction design principles. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop shared understanding of user jobs, journeys, and needs through research, testing, and synthesis. Be the primary bridge between design, technology, and business teams, ensuring vision is executed in collaboration with developers and stakeholders. Champion continuous improvement of design practices by mentoring your team, facilitating knowledge sharing, and running workshops or feedback sessions. Actively bring thought leadership and best practices to Thoughtworks and clients.
Requirements
Rich experience designing digital products and interface solutions from scoping and concept through to scalable delivery. Strong foundations in user experience and interaction design principles and heuristics, including information architecture. Exceptional visual design skills with attention to colour, layout, typography, and motion. Experience creating programme-wide design guidelines and collaborating on modular design system components. Comfortable with prototyping, trial and error, and embracing feedback. Expertise working closely with business and tech teams to deliver real-world design solutions. Experience in designing both B2B and B2C products is essential. Provide a portfolio showcasing expertise in digital products across multiple channels.
