Product Designer II – Mobile App & Kiosk Customer Experience
About the position
Tim Hortons is seeking a talented and passionate Product Designer II – Mobile App & Kiosk Customer Experience to help shape and elevate the digital touchpoints that millions of guests interact with every day. In this role, you will focus on designing intuitive, engaging, and scalable user experiences across our mobile applications and in-store kiosk platforms. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, UX researchers, and business stakeholders to translate customer needs and business goals into best-in-class digital experiences that strengthen brand loyalty and drive growth.
Responsibilities
Design end-to-end user experiences for Tim Hortons mobile apps and self-service kiosks, from concept to final delivery. Translate complex requirements into clear user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs. Partner with Product Management to define product vision, user experience strategy, and design roadmaps. Conduct and interpret user research, usability testing, and data insights to inform design decisions. Ensure design consistency by contributing to and evolving the Tim Hortons design system. Collaborate with Engineering teams to ensure high-quality implementation of designs across platforms. Advocate for customer-centric design solutions while balancing business and technical constraints. Iterate on designs based on feedback, performance metrics, and evolving customer needs.
Requirements
Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions for mobile and/or kiosk experiences. Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar. Solid understanding of UX principles, interaction design, information architecture, and visual design. Experience designing for touch-based interfaces, mobile-first experiences, and responsive systems. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design rationale. Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional, fast-paced environments. 3–5 years of professional experience in product design, UX/UI design, or interaction design. Prior experience working on consumer-facing digital products at scale is preferred. Experience within retail, food service, e-commerce, or omnichannel environments is a strong advantage. Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design best practices. Understanding of agile product development methodologies.
Nice-to-haves
Experience designing for kiosk/touch interfaces at scale. Prior work contributing to or maintaining a design system. Demonstrated use of qualitative and quantitative data to guide design decisions. Experience with usability testing and translating research into product improvements. Background in retail or food-service digital experiences.
