Staff Product Designer, Pay Ecosystem
About the position
This is a Staff Product Designer role on Remote’s Pay Ecosystem Product Design team. Remote is a fully remote company solving global employment, enabling businesses to recruit, pay, and manage international teams. Design at Remote is a multi-disciplinary team working asynchronously across the world. The payroll team builds experiences to help customers pay anyone, anywhere safely and compliantly. The role is focused on complex, enterprise-grade B2B SaaS problems, requiring primary research, robust strategy, and excellent execution. You’ll report to the Director of Product Design and the team location is anywhere in the world.
Responsibilities
Lead design for your domain and make strategic UX decisions related to core features and future functionality. Mentor and raise team maturity through feedback and collaboration. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand needs, generate ideas, validate solutions, and implement to high standards. Create user flows from low-fidelity wireframes to pixel-ready designs. Contribute to and maintain the design system, participate in critiques, lead cross-domain initiatives, facilitate design workshops, collaborate with engineering to build scalable components, and leverage AI prototyping to explore and iterate concepts. Champion usability, scalability and accessibility and be an active member of the cross-functional culture.
Requirements
An exemplary individual contributor product designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating holistic, scalable systems and mastery of visual and interaction design fundamentals. Experience empathizing with enterprise users and applying user-centered design at scale. Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English. Comfortable in a high-growth, fast-paced remote environment and able to autonomously take ownership of complex domains and multiple projects. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with product and engineering to build consensus and drive impactful outcomes. A respected voice in improving design systems, product experience, quality, culture and ways of working. Ability to work asynchronously and participate in Remote’s interview and hiring process.
Nice-to-haves
Experience designing complex B2B SaaS solutions in HRTech, FinTech or similar industries. Prior remote-work experience is a plus. Familiarity with using AI and automation in design workflows and a history of influencing design quality and ways of working across organizations.
