Director, Organizational Design – Executive Development

About the position

Lead organizational assessments and design and execute diagnostics (surveys, interviews, structural analysis). Develop and implement organizational design (OD) frameworks to create a consistent, scalable methodology for organizational structure, role clarity, and operating model changes. Partner closely with HR Business Partners and Finance to translate strategic business plans into future-state organizational and talent requirements. Design and oversee change management protocols to ensure successful adoption of new structures and talent initiatives. Evaluate the impact of structural changes by developing metrics and tracking mechanisms to assess effectiveness and ROI on key business outcomes (e.g., time-to-market, efficiency, employee engagement).

Responsibilities

Design and manage high-impact executive leadership development programs and curate the executive development portfolio by evaluating and securing internal or external resources (content, vendors, technology). Facilitate executive development sessions, offsites, and development activities for senior leadership (VP+) focused on team effectiveness, strategic alignment, and complex problem-solving. Implement a scalable coaching framework and manage the internal/external executive coaching pool. Define key metrics for executive programs (e.g., 360-degree feedback improvement, retention of high-potentials, business outcome correlation) and report results to senior leadership. Integrate organizational design principles with talent processes such as performance management, talent reviews, and succession planning. Act as an in-house subject matter expert and consultant to HRBPs and VPs on organizational capability, team dynamics, and senior leadership effectiveness.

Requirements

12+ years of experience in talent development, learning & development, or organizational development fields; 7+ years of management experience. Experience working with vendors. Organizational Design certifications or relevant degree. Experience at large-scale SaaS tech companies. Coaching certification and instructional design experience. AI skills relevant to the role.

Nice-to-haves

Additional coaching certifications, advanced OD/organization design credentials, extensive experience running enterprise-level executive development portfolios, and prior success measuring program ROI and business outcome correlation are desirable.
