Head of Design

About the position

We are building a next-generation platform to enable SMEs to grow, operate, and scale globally through AI-powered systems, intelligent workflows, and economic enablement tools. This founding, equity-based leadership role reports to Riyadh headquarters and will own the full design vision of the platform — from product design and AI experience to economic growth frameworks and user engagement systems. The role involves close collaboration with product, AI engineering, partnerships, and venture teams to build a globally scalable SME experience platform.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end global product design across web, dashboards, and future mobile apps; build a scalable design language system and unified global UX framework for SME platforms. Architect AI experience design and UX for copilots, automation tools, and predictive dashboards; translate AI insights into actionable interfaces. Design economic-growth systems (revenue growth, performance tracking, opportunity discovery) and behavioral/product engagement systems (gamification, progress frameworks, milestone tracking, reward systems). Build design systems and governance (UI components, interaction patterns, motion, accessibility); design advanced data-visualization dashboards for financial and operational insights. Collaborate cross-functionally with AI engineers, product leaders, automation specialists, and venture teams; recruit, build, and mentor a global design team; introduce emerging methodologies such as AI-assisted design, adaptive interfaces, and predictive UX.

Requirements

8+ years in product design, UX leadership, or digital platform design. Experience designing SaaS platforms, marketplaces, or AI-driven products. Strong expertise in UX architecture, design systems, interaction design, and product thinking. Proven ability to translate complex systems into simple user experiences and to lead or build design teams. Proficiency with tools such as Figma, Framer, and advanced prototyping tools. Understanding of AI-driven interfaces and data visualization, with strong strategic thinking and a product mindset.

Nice-to-haves

Experience designing for large-scale SME platforms or marketplaces, prior experience in founding or early-stage leadership roles, demonstrated success building design systems at scale, and prior work on AI-driven UX, predictive analytics interfaces, or gamified engagement systems.
