Product Design Contractor

About the position

We are looking for a part-time (24-32 hours per week) contract Product Designer to join our Design team to pioneer the new frontier in post-purchase experiences. You will practice user-centered and visual design, work with design systems, and use interaction design skills to turn insights into products and prototypes that inspire the organization.

Responsibilities

Design concepts and iterate to reduce product complexity; create interaction models, workflows, UI designs, and interactive details; collaborate with engineering and product teams to implement designs; leverage research and data to inform decisions; contribute to expansion of design systems and UI patterns; articulate work to cross-functional partners and stakeholders; push boundaries in e-commerce and post-purchase experiences.

Requirements

5+ years of Product Design experience supporting B2B SaaS products; flexible design process and the ability to be scrappy or rigorous as needed; capable of balancing multiple projects and clearly communicating status with cross-functional peers; comfortable communicating with customers directly to distill actionable insights; strong knowledge of HTML and CSS, mobile-first and responsive design practices; proficient in designing and prototyping in Figma; presentation and strong verbal communication skills; demonstrated execution of designs through project lifecycles.

Nice-to-haves

Contractor must supply their own computer and Figma software; experience expanding and contributing to design systems and UI pattern libraries.
