Senior Product Designer

About the position

At arenaflex we are on a mission to revolutionize the retail industry through innovative e-commerce solutions and exceptional customer experiences. This remote, work-from-home opportunity is to join arenaflex as a Product Designer focused on omnichannel commerce and order fulfillment, helping customers complete and receive purchases via pickup and delivery. You will be part of a dynamic team shaping the future of retail and delivering seamless, intuitive online shopping experiences.

Responsibilities

Design at a high level of craft for a broad population of arenaflex customers; lead a program of work and collaborate with cross-functional partners through delivery; create the experience strategy and set the design direction for programs that deliver on customer needs and business goals; solicit feedback from peers and stakeholders throughout the product design lifecycle; engage design research at appropriate points; run design sprints, create concepts, and build rapid prototypes; rapid prototyping and experimenting in a fast-paced environment; multitask across projects and adapt to changing priorities; create scalable reports with the design tool team; work with the design system team to expand the component library; champion design thinking across the organization; communicate effectively with kindness and empathy; participate seamlessly with cross-functional partners; stay up to date with industry and retail trends.

Requirements

Degree in HCI, information architecture, digital design, or related field and at least 3-5 years of product design experience; demonstrable portfolio of stylish design solutions; excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience facilitating design thinking in cross-functional teams; comfort with ambiguity and the ability to motivate teams and partners; self-starter mindset, well-organized and focused on continuous improvement; track record of shipping successful products in fast-paced environments; strong design aesthetic, systems thinking, and ability to produce outstanding work in short timeframes.

Nice-to-haves

Design certification (e.g., IDEO – Foundations in Design Thinking); experience driving product development in user experience spaces; master’s degree in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, product design, or related area; related industry experience such as retail, supply chain, eCommerce, or healthcare; experience with design systems and component libraries.
