About the position
Marcom oversees all advertising and marketing efforts to ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications. The Design Team is responsible for the design and art direction of core communications — including product launches and seasonal campaigns — across Retail, Channel, Packaging, Keynote, and Events. The Senior Art Director is an integral member of the team building innovative and compelling work that meets the requirements outlined in creative briefs — from ideation to execution. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing work that inspires both current and potential customers for one of the most beloved brands.
Responsibilities
Brainstorms, coordinates, and collaborates frequently in order to bring to life the key elements of design and art direction. Inspires the team to pursue new creative solutions while also being directly involved with the process. Leads the successful creation and production of design solutions, follows briefs and creative direction. Plans and directs aspects of assigned projects to deliver superior design in accordance with project constraints and parameters. Delivers persuasive creative presentations to executive staff members. Dives deep into the details but also guides the work towards bigger-picture objectives. Multi-tasks on design projects that require both conceptual and functional thinking. Reacts quickly to new information, opinions, and direction to strategically pivot when necessary. Provides thoughtful guidance to junior creative staff, vendors, freelancers, and photographers as needed.
Requirements
You have at least 10+ years of design and art direction experience with an expert ability to develop innovative creative work across a broad range of media. You are well-versed in graphic design, branding, photography, and art direction as it pertains to print, digital, and motion. You possess excellent design and conceptual skills accompanied by the ability to guide and evaluate, and if necessary, redirect creative development. You are a strong communicator with great presentation skills and must be able to communicate effectively both up and down a creative organization. In-depth knowledge of the creative development process, including effectively and efficiently staffing projects, providing timely and helpful feedback, and producing work on schedule. Excellent skills with design software, primarily the Adobe Creative Suite. Must be able to effectively lead junior creative staff members.
Nice-to-haves
Experience with 3D software is a plus. A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field is preferred. Good organization skills to file work in a manner that can be shared with the team. Hours may fluctuate based on project needs.
