Junior Performance Marketer
About the position
FMG Digital is a performance marketing agency that helps eCommerce brands grow through research-driven, direct-response advertising. We’re looking for a Junior Performance Marketer to join our team. In this role, you’ll sit at the intersection of paid media, conversion and creative – working closely with one of South Africa’s top performance marketers (responsible for generating +R100mil per year).
Responsibilities
Launch and manage Meta ad campaigns across eCommerce client accounts. Implement CRO changes on Shopify stores to improve conversion rates. Build high-converting landing pages, listicles, and advertorials that support paid traffic funnels. Share structured creative feedback with strategists to improve ad performance. Ensure landing page alignment with ad messaging and audience intent.
Requirements
Interested in the full picture: why ads work, not just how to run them. Obsessive about performance metrics and achieving results for clients. Comfortable working inside Meta Ads Manager and understanding campaign structure. Familiar with Shopify – know your way around themes, pages, and basic store edits. A clear, concise writer who can adapt tone for direct-response formats. Organised and proactive – follow through, flag issues early, and ask good questions.
Nice-to-haves
Exposure to conversion rate optimisation principles or A/B testing. Experience writing advertorials, listicles, or direct-response copy. Familiarity with analytics tools (GA4, Triple Whale, or similar). An interest in health, wellness, or lifestyle eCommerce brands.
