IT Project Manager, AI
About the position
One of the client’s direct needs is a 100% remote IT Project Manager focused on AI and LLM integrations. The role centers on hands-on use of LLM-based assistants to create project plans, meeting minutes, status reports, and automation of action items. Engagement is contract (C2C/W2), 12 months (long term), cannot sponsor. Client details are shared post technical call.
Responsibilities
Draft project plans with AI-generated baseline schedules, dependency maps, and suggested owners for review; run Agile team cadences (Scrum or Kanban) and facilitate cross-functional teams; use JIRA as the system of record for planning, tracking, reporting, workflow design, and automation; extract meeting notes and action items and push to JIRA tickets; produce automated status reports where AI synthesizes JIRA board data and sprint outcomes into executive summaries with suggested mitigations; surface potential stale work, blockers, and bottlenecks via AI-driven nudges; translate AI-driven signals into clear, actionable executive summaries; partner with engineering and ops to drive delivery.
Requirements
Demonstrated hands-on use of LLM-based assistants (enterprise Copilot, ChatGPT, or equivalent) to create project plans, meeting minutes, status reports, and action-item automation; 3+ years of software project management experience in healthcare technology or adjacent healthcare data domains with familiarity of privacy and regulatory considerations such as HIPAA; advanced practical experience using JIRA for planning, tracking, reporting, workflow design, and automation rules; proven experience running Agile cadences and driving delivery across product, engineering, and ops; strong stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable with data and analytics to read forecasts, validate predictions, and apply them to risk decisions; growth mindset and willingness to experiment with AI to remove manual work and drive predictability.
Nice-to-haves
Prior PM experience on projects that shipped AI-enabled features or used ML-driven forecasting or automation; experience with enterprise Copilot integrations, ChatGPT/LLM plugins for JIRA, or other PM-focused AI tooling; familiarity with healthcare data standards such as FHIR, claims formats, or EHR integrations; certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster, PMP, or equivalent Agile credentials; hands-on scripting or low-code experience (Python, JavaScript, Power Automate) to create small automations or partner effectively with engineers.
